  : The location was good, close to Oxford street and public transport. The facilities were comfortable and clean.
  : The building looks abandoned, there's no way to tell how to get in, no reception area or anything to confirm that it is in fact a hostel. My room became unbearably hot during the day and night. No way to track down staff.

  : Fantastic staff, quiet and great location. Once the renovations are completed I have no doubts the Boutique Hostel will set the new standard for hostels in Sydney.

  : Facilities clearly still under construction but the rooms were clean and comfortable.
  : Poor communication. Their response to the review below about clear check in instructions being sent in advance is not true...I booked two weeks in advance and didn't get any communication from them at all. Showed up to drop my bags in the morning, couldn't get in, no response to messages though booking.com, no answer to multiple calls.Also, cold shower.

  : No flyscreen on the window. Room was stuffy.

  : The hostel was good value, although I never explored it much to see if there was more like the description had said. I used the kitchen once however I couldn't see any pots except an very large one so I had to use the microwave oven to warm something up, which is something I do not like doing. Its possible there was a dish washer going at that time, maybe that is where the smaller pots where I don't know.
  : On arrival we where told we had to wait while our room had an unfinished toilet locked off the side of the room so it could not be used. then on the second day coming back there were problems having them set up a new code for the door lock and that took some time.
